Regenerating a 60-credit Kling 3.0 clip because the jacket color is wrong is expensive math. Kling 3.0 Omni Edit exists to patch motion you already like — 10 credits per job on Picturesque.
Kling 3.0 Omni Edit is Kuaishou's in-place video transformer in Edit Studio. Upload a source clip, optional reference stills, and describe the change with @image_1 / @element_1 placeholders. Motion from the original footage stays; pixels around the subject can change.

What Kling 3.0 Omni Edit Does
Unlike text-to-video, Omni Edit requires an existing video URL or studio task. The model:
- Preserves camera path and subject blocking from the source
- Accepts up to 4 reference images for wardrobe, props, or backgrounds
- Supports element slots for structured identity swaps
- Offers 720p and 1080p output with optional keep audio
Credits & Settings
| Tool | Credits | Best for |
|---|
| Kling 3.0 Omni Edit | 10 | Kling-native patches, element syntax |
|---|---|---|
| Wan 2.7 Edit | 16 | Season/lighting swaps, Alibaba clips |
| Wan 2.7 Extend | 16 | Length only — no wardrobe changes |
| Kling 3.0 (full regen) | 60 | Wrong camera grammar |
Step 1: Export a Clean Master
Start from the best Kling or SeeDance pass you already have. Trim handles in your NLE if the first or last second is corrupted — Omni Edit tracks motion; garbage frames at the head confuse the model.
If the clip came from Kling 3.0 Omni, keep the task ID handy for studio reuse.
Step 2: Upload References
Add 1–3 tight stills:
- @image_1 — new wardrobe or product color
- @image_2 — background plate
- @element_1 — character identity when element mode is on
Step 3: Write the Transform Prompt
Example prompts that work on Picturesque:
- `Keep the walk cycle. Replace the jacket with @image_1. Match lighting to the source.`
- `Change only the storefront signage to match @image_1. Do not alter the actor's face.`
- `Apply the hairstyle from @element_1. Preserve camera motion.`
Step 4: Toggle Keep Audio
If the source clip has diegetic sound or a music bed you still need, enable Keep audio before generating. Omni Edit re-renders video pixels; audio passthrough saves a round trip in post.
Step 5: Inspect and Chain
If the tail still drifts, follow with Wan 2.7 Extend (16 credits) — see the edit/extend workflow. Do not re-run Omni Edit on the same mistake; fix the prompt or refs first.
Decision Framework: Omni Edit vs Wan Edit
| Scenario | Use |
|---|
| Kling-generated clip, wardrobe fix | Kling Omni Edit |
|---|---|
| Wan or HappyHorse clip, season swap | Wan 2.7 Edit |
| Gemini Omni Flash talking head | Gemini Omni Flash Edit |
| Wrong choreography | Full regen — edit tools cannot invent new blocking |
| Need +3 seconds only | Extend tools, not Edit |
Limitations to Be Aware Of
Requires video input. You cannot Omni Edit from a still alone.
No negative prompts. If the model adds an extra prop, tighten the prompt instead of negating.
Heavy handheld shake. Like all edit models, unstable source motion reduces swap accuracy.
Not for Video 1.5 Grok. Extend/upscale on Grok is separate — see Grok extend guide.

Fix the wardrobe, keep the camera move — 10 credits instead of 60 for a full regen.
